Here's to one week post op... Monday the 9th was the day that marked the begining of my new life. I am so happy, other than a migrane that began the Saturday before and lasted thru Wednesday, i've been virturally pain free, im gonna see about having my drain out today. I will start my walking routine today, walking the dogs, and increase the walk every day thru my healing period. Have not done shakes hate the thought of the aftertaste, however, making my own healthy clear broths 4-6 oz 2 to 3 times a day, maybe for breakfast cream of wheat 3 tablespoons diluted in milk about 4 oz, plain yogurt 4oz with blueberries, jello, 1/2 banana well chewed a day, coffee, water, v8...and Looking into a liquid protein supplement, to be taken a teaspoonful at a time. These are the foods i've played with so far, very small in portions, and limiting my intake to three meals. I know i've lost weight, will know how much at my weigh in when i have my drainage line removed.

Yeah...congratulations!!! I bet it feels great to be 1 week postop. I can't wait to be able to make the same post. I have tried a lot of shakes in the past and most of them do have a bad after taste. One that I recently just tried was unjury...I ordered it online. www.unjury.com The chocolate was really pretty good, almost made me feel guilty eating it for a meal, and they have an unflavored one too. They have sample packs that you can get to try it out, they weren't very expensive at all and they are fast at responding to you and getting your order in the mail. So far I am impressed with them. Just an idea. congratulations again and good luck postop.
