Surgery Cancelled!!!
Hello January Friends,
I can't believe that this is happening to me. I went for my pre-op testing yesterday and today when I got home from work there were messages all over my machine. My EKG did not look right so now I have to have a stress test and be cleared by cardiology before they put me back on the surgery schedule. I do not know when that will be. I've cried tonight buckets and am very disappointed. I know in my brain that this is necessary and it's better to be safe than sorry, but my heart just hurts. I can't believe that I would get to three days left after a year and a half of waiting...I know I'll feel better tomorrow, I just needed to vent. Thanks, Leslie

I am so sorry. It sucks to have your date scheduled. I am working on date two and the disappointment of knowing that you are going to have to wait longer is horendous...however, like you said, better safe then sorry. It's all about getting healthier whatever it is that you are working on. I hope all is well with your EKG and that you can get scheduled again quickly!
Hey Leslie,
I am so sorry to hear about your cancellation. However, they are taking into consideration your health going under anesthesia, so it's best they are taking extra precautions. Don't let this stress you out, take some time to yourself and get into a peaceful state...hard as it may be but let your mind off from thinking too much about this. If you can do some relaxation exercises and center yourself so you can calm those nerves and pass that EKG with flying colors. I am going to my chiropractor the night before I leave to visit my bf before my surgery and while visiting my bf he is going to give me a full body massage each day up to my surgery just so I can unwind and get my nerves back in order. Try something like that or aroma therapy, again get that stress under so you can get back on the schedule.
I wish you all the best and do take good care of yourself...let us know what happens in the future.
Kelli

I can't imagine how frustrated you must be. There's a few things to remember though. You must have a good doctor, because he's looking out for you. Also, you're having this surgery to be healthier, so you don't want to risk making things worse for yourself in the process. It will happen when all your ducks are in a row, and it's safe for you.
