In from Pre Admission testing

Well, I am in from my PST and boy am I pooped. It seemed like a mini-marathon of all of the tests I took already to get approved, except they did them all in 1 afternoon. Hey, I thought I needed to have blood in my body. When the tech got to the 5 tube I asked if she was going to leave me any. She laughed and said that she was going to take as much as she could as she didn't get "nice veins often" Tests went well and I am scheduled for final medical clearance on Monday morning and getting Banded on Wednesday at 10am. I was doing okay with my nerves and being anxious until they started talking about health care proxy and DNR orders today - then I began to freak out. I made it home and hubby made me a big cup of tea and sent me to lay down, he said he could see my nerves were really shot. This 1000 calorie no fat diet is killing me as it is my TOM and I am having really bad "wants". Well, I am off to hit the treadmill and watch a movie with hubby. Hi Taisha, I just got home from my pre-admission testing too. Yup, it was like a marathon. I was suppose to have my last appointment with my surgeon right after my testing, but his office called & said that he wasn't going to be in the office this afternoon. Now my appointment with him is on Mon at 1:00. The nurse was surprised that it was that late in the day because the bowel prep usually has to be done before that. Now, I'm nervous too. I know what you mean about the health care proxy and the dnr orders...yikes. Good luck on your banding. I'm having Open RNY so I'll be in the hospital from Tues to Friday of next week. Kathy
