Surgery Monday/SICK

I finally did come down with a cold, in spite trying very hard not to. I'm wondering if surgery can still be done. I plan on calling my surgeon as soon as they open this morning, but I am upset about it NOW. As of now, it seems to be a head cold...no fever. Anyone here been sick with a head cold and you had surgery anyway? Upset, Chele

Thanks Nicole! My surgeon's office said as long as I'm not running a fever this weekend, it should be fine. Now I'm nervous...when I wasn't before! Nervous that I'll run a fever. Bahh! Chele

Chele, I didn't actually get a cold before surgery, but I felt the possibility of coming down with one a few days before and used Zycam. It knocked it out of me! I will be praying for you that everything goes well for you. ~Teri~

Yes I had a sinus infection. I used saline drops in my nose to help break up the mucus and then the doctor did approve me to use sudafed. Just don't let the cold get in your lungs.. Sleep at an upward angle so it doesn't pool. Lots of liquids!! ::hugs:: Cyndi
