going into 5 day post op- Tues. p.m. on Jan/17/06
I came home Friday and was a tad upset as every hour I vomited. With all of the research sometimes you can overthink. I had only had one pain reliever and went with none on Saturday but used Gravol supp. for the vomiting and it seems to have worked. I think that maybe I ate/drank a little more in a mouthful that I should have so I have switched to a really small spoon. I could have started stage 3 yesterday but stayed with liquid because of the nausea. I hadn't had a good nights sleep and have now awoken at 3:30 after a full 4.5 hour sleep. It felt good. I figured alot of my vomiting seemed to be from post nasal and coughing from the lung exercises. I came home with oxygen and see the doc on Wednsday. Other things are finally moving too so I am on my way up.
I am hoping it is nice out today and I will go for a bit of a walk.
Well, onwards an upwards from here. I am just amazed that I have absolutely no knee pain right now!! I could barely walk when I went in. I am so excited to see how much my health improves.

Hi Pat
I have had the post nasal drip accumulation for many years and its makes me cough too. I haven't vomited yet but I have come close once. I usually shower every day which helps clear my throat but am not doing so as often right now. It's been too much of a challenge showering every day as I have the abdominal drain until Wed. 1/25. I can't wait to get the drain out. Sipping hot tea helps loosen things up too.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
