iam a madwoman :help:
Hello January Friends:
Well tomorrow is the day. Can anyone please give me some clues on how to get threw today and early tomorrow without absolutely going bonkers
I am so nervous, today is all liquid clear. I don't think I could eat anything if I wanted to my stomach is in nots. Please send me some things to do to keep myself calm that has worked for anyone who has had there surgery or is going to have there surgery this month.
Take care and God bless to all of you.
Denise
Denise,
The final hours are the hardest but be assured that it gets easier each day. For today: Keep yourself busy. Make sure your house is post-op ready - everything you need at the right height and location. Sit and visualize yourself in your new body, enjoying new activities; make a list of activities you want to do when at your new weight. Breathe deeply. Go for a walk if you can be away from the loo. Visualize tomorrow's activities so you know what's ahead, see yourself coming out of surgery, getting up for that first walk, being strong, going home and healing. Stretch.
I hope this helps and know we're here supporting you and look forward to your return post with news of a smooth and uneventful procedure.
Warm regards,
~Tiffany
Denise,
Tomorrow at 10 am is my banding. I got lucky, I am able to take Xanax to stop my panic attacks.
I know how you are feeling though. Every minute feels like hours. I am getting in my last soup before I start on the magnesium citraate to clear out my body.
I am spending the night at my folks tonight, I joke that I will be laying on the couch, my head in my moms lap, my feet in my dads lap and my thumb in my mouth.
The only thing I can say is find a comedy movie to watch to keep you laughing for a while. I have Shrek 2 and also got the DVD March of the Penquins.
Good luck to you Denise, see you on the losing side.

Dear Denise,
How WONDERFUL that tomorrow is your day! This is going to change your life!
My advice is to just revel in the excitement. If you're TOO excited, maybe some calming music, candles and meditation might help. Visualize yourself as your new body is created as a result of having the surgery. Think about all the wonderful new things you're going to be able to do and how much better you're going to feel at a healthier weight. And how you'll LOOK in your new slender body!
Wishing you lucky and a quick recovery.

Hey Denise, I'm right there with ya babe! The anxiety is definitely the highest it's been. I'm about to write letters to my children and husband (I'm one of those Murphy's Law believers) and I'm an emotional wreck. I stayed busy this morning (colored my hair, did laundry), but now that I've downed my magnesium junk, I don't have much planned besides sitting in the bathroom!!
Watch a movie, take a nap, try to take your mind off of it (ya, like I'm doing so well following my own advice, I know). Tomorrow will be here sooner than you and I know it and then we'll be on the losing side. Yippee!!!

Hi Denise,
Make sure you have fresh batteries in your remote, your cordless phone.
Are all your papers in order, eg, living will, durable power of attorny. Did you call your insurance to precertify if needed?
Make sure you have all the supplies you need at home for post op. Get some protein suppliments, your vitamines, broth, sf jello, sf popscicles etc.
And you can hang out here with us. We will help get you through it.
Sending positive vibes your way for an uneventful surgery and a smooth and easy recovery
Regards and many hugs,
Ronna
