Successful Surgery

Well I just got home after a 3 day stay after my surgery. It was only supposed 2 nights, but I had a lot of pain and couldn't drink much. The connection from my pouch to my intestine is very tiny. That was causing the pain and difficulty swallowing. I am feeling remarkbly better today, and I'm doing better drinking things and eating jello. If any dr. suggests you stay longer, they do know what's best. I showered by myself today and packed up my hospital room before leaving.

Amy, Welcome home! Sounds like it was a good idea to stay the extra day. I was wondering when I'd be able to shower (there's nothing like a good hot shower to make you feel better). Anyway, may your recovery be very speedy and without complications. Lisa
