I'm one week out - on full liquids. I'm dulled to death.. Any suggestions?

sf popscicles and sf jello made me feel like I was chewing a bit. It helped. I also really liked chicken broth. It felt good going down. Hang in there. You'll be on to new stuff before you know it. Regards and hugs, Ronna

I'm two weeks out and have been on clear liquids the whole time...I finally get to move to full liquids tomorrow and posted the same question on the Cali board yesterday. A couple of the suggestions I got were to get instant mashed potatoes and make them runny, doctored possibly with some sour cream and cheese (I'm thinking parmasean maybe?). Also, someone suggested straining those good Signature soups found at Safeway/Pavilions. If you find something yummy in full liquids, let me know. I still have two weeks of them to go. I can't wait until I get to pureed foods in a couple of weeks!!

For the first two weeks I was on soft foods: sf jello, sf pudding, mashed potatos, cottage cheese, or blenderized soups. Now from week 3 through week 6 I get to add soft fruits, well cooked veggies, fish, soft pasta and crackers. I have been eating a lot (ha ha! if you can call 2 oz. a lot!) of tuna fish, angel hair pasta and watermelon! I love having my fruits back!! Beth

I'll be 3 weeks post op & I'm on pureeded/blended foods. That includes, cottage cheese, ricotta cheese, soup, pureed chicken, yogurt. In another 2 weeks I progress to soft foods. I can't wait. Hang in there it'll get better. Carly

I had surgery Jan 3 and I just progressed to yogurt(no fruit added)-yoplait whips are wonderful!-, cottage cheese, hard boiled eggs, cream of wheat, blended oatmeal, mashed potatoes, creamed soups. I did try a little homemade mac/cheese and steamed broccoli tonight-yummmmmmmmmy and it set well with me. I dont want to do anything to upset my pouch cause I heard that it can cause ulcers, but I think I am doing good. I have to make myself eat and stay on schedule.....is that a normal thing? Tina

3 weeks post op yesterday and I just got cleared for anything except beef, breads and rice. Last night I sauteed 4 oz. shrimp (15 medium shrimp at 80 calories with minced garlic and it was so yummy. Today, I had cheerios for breakfast, for lunch a turkey burger grilled with 2% American cheese slice. That's it so far. I'm at 436 calories and 34 grams of protein so far. For snack, I think I'll have yogurt and maybe shrimp for dinner again tonight with small salad. Lisa

that sounds yummy Lisa! I know you are glad that you can eat most things and tolerate them well. I'm just so glad to make it through this whole thing. I've only been home 2 days and am 9 days post-op. I'll be glad when the staples come out friday and the belly rolling stops.
