Good luck to you all who are going to be having surgery!!!
I would like to take the time to wish you all who are still waiting for surgery, the best of luck! Make sure you do what they tell you since they actually do know what they are talking about. During my hospital stay I had a "bad day" and couldnt stay awake and was very nauseated. My friends had drove over an hour to come and see me and I think they only stayed 5 minutes since I wasnt feeling well ( I felt terrible for them driving all that way and only got to see me for 5 minutes). Then the PT guy Josh (cutie patootie) came in and made me learn how to get out of bed without the railings and the bed was completely flat. Meanie!!!!! But he did it cause I dont have railings on my bed. So guess he had me there. Then he made me walk down to the PT (physical therapy) room and walk up and down the stairs, and showed me how to get into and out of a car (very helpful). Then I went back to my room and laid down and then when I woke up from a nap the flood gates opened and I was able to get my IV out and then had my first bowel movement and then the nose tube was able to come out. I got to take a shower and was then told later Sat night I was going to be able to be discharged either Sunday night or Monday morning. I opted for monday morning just in case! Please dont let this scare you, let it help you know what to do when and if it happens. I wish you all the best and hope you have a successful and uneventful surgery!!! Best Wishes
-Sue
