Question for everyone!!
In 4 11. I weigh 232
I gained about 10 pounds these past few weeks. I know im naughty
.
I would love to be 130. Its hard on us shortstacks, but i want to loose 100lbs. I would be happy at 150, but I think thats just my head trying to be cautiouse. We can 130. It will be hard but if we stay focused Its do-able. I saw your poc on your profile and you and I are built the same. I hear its tougher on the "bell bottums" (as i call myself) to loose weight.
Goos luck, My days tomorow, wish me luck!!

hey sue, i'm considering the RNY here in cleveland oh- i am really scared of being too small. i am 245 pounds -5"4 and at 160 more than 10 yrs ago i looked like i was sick. i'm really afraid of being too small- isn't that the dumbest thing. i was thinking of the lapband just because when i got to a weight i felt good i could say thats enough.
whatever happens you'll look awesome.
i think when we've been heavy for so long being thin is scary. felicia
Hi Sue
I have spent some time thinking on this too, but its really hard to imagine. I am shooting for 175, I'm 5'10". I want to be healthy, agile, mobile and if I go lower, I'll just make sure I still look healthy, etc. I have a fear of looking sick as well. Once on another diet program, the lady told me we'd shoot for 125, I did a double take! 5'10" at 125!? ME!? That's awfully skinny, maybe I'll become a model

I've been wondering about that too. I'm five feet even and in order to have a healthy BMI, I'd need to be around 135, which sounds SO light. I started out at about 300 pounds, however, and I've been obese since I was five years old, so I've really never known anything near a normal weight and so it's hard to imagine what would be attainable and healthy for me. I think it's something that I'm going to have to settle on once I get closer to that number. My exercise physiologist said it would be great to get me down around 150, so I think that would be the highest weight I'd be happy with. When he mentioned a goal for the first time, however, I remember smiling wistfully and thinking, "Wow, that sounds SO out of reach - I'm never going to get there" - I honestly can't imagine even being under 200 pounds. So -- that's my first mini-goal...once I get to 199, I reevaluate.

295/234/???

I'm 5'3 and I started out at 230, I have lost a total of 27 pds before and after surgery. I went to my dr. for my first followup and I saw his paperwork that said my goal weight was 100 pds!!!! My mom and I fell out laughing. I couldn't believe that was what he thought I should be. I actually think it was stated that way for insurance purposes but anyways 100 pounds?!?!?!! I want to try and get down to 120 just to see what I look like but I bet I would be more comfortable around 135. So I have two goals! Good luck to you all!

230/203/135/125/100?!?!?!

Thanks for all your input! Its been very helpful!!! Like someone said I think I am thinking along the lines of I am 5'3 and the BMI factor is a big thing. And according to the doctors charts someone who is my height should be between 105-120. Guess I am thinking thats way to skinny. I want to be thin but most of all I want to be healthy. Thanks again everyone for your input!!! Greatly appreciated!!

242/???/130

Hi - My doctor did not give me a number, said we'll know it when we get there which is a nice approach albeit ambiguous. Personally, I was once at 165 lbs for like a day and want to be lower than that. So my personal goal is 160. I am 5'6. 175 would be suitable but its too close to 200 and once below that number I never want to get near there again.
Just think, a year from now we'll all be talking about our success reaching these goals!!!
