Pregnancy
You can have kids after surgery. But there are risks. I know of one person who was malnurished because of what the baby pulled from her and she couldn't keep up with the needs. She didn't gain alot of weight, but she wasn't healthy. Others gain alot, another I know of is having to have the surgery done again. Talk to a surgeon about it would be the best bet.
The main reason why I had WLS is to become pregnant. I have a dx and will only be able to do Invitro-fertilization to achieve this. Both my Reproductive Dr, and Dr Freeman both said i will be fine, just wait 12-18 mths afterwards. I have many friends that have done WLS and has already had their child, or is pregnant now, none with complications, they don't gain as much weight, but them and the baby was fine...the one's that have already had the baby, did not gain, they lost their weight. The dr that did my surgery, his daughter had WLS and his granddaughter was born Dec 05....Hope this helps ya!
