Survived RNY Yesterday not so bad
First thanks for everyone's support! i am determined to go home as soon as I can. I have a PCA pump with Morphine andthey say as soon as i don't need it tha i can go on oral meds the first step going home. I had 4 years of nursing school and I know that being on your feet as fast as posible starts the healing. I won't kid you I have some serous pain but it is mostly on the left side (I had a Lap) where the tools were used. The other 6 i don't even know they are there. I don't remember too much of yesterday becuase of the drugs, but it has been abot 2 hours since I dosed my self with the PCA. i hope to hold out before the DR's visits so I go on Oral meds.. Oh by the way I have my own laptop and wireless internet in case you were wondering.
Take care for now

Hi Jason,
I'm glad you're doing so well! I wanted to ask you...are you from Grandview, OH or is that the name of the hospital? My hubby is from Grandview, OH (outside of Columbus), so I'm just curious! I'm originally from the Cleveland area and we now live in MI.
Anyway, take your pain meds if you need them! I try to be too brave and go without but I end up regretting it.

Jason,
I took my laptop with me too but didn't have wireless internet.... still- I never even USED the darned thing while I was in the hospital! Sounds like you are doing GREAT for only being your second day. I didn't feel too well until my 4th day and didn't leave the hospital until after I had been there a loooonnnnggg 5 days!
My left side is still a bit sore and is where the larges bruising took place. My little "scabs" are already starting to drop off (sorry for being gross) and I am feeling better and better each and every day. I have already lost 17 pounds in only 12 days!
Hoping you have a speedy recovery!

Hi Jason
,
Glad to hear that you came through safely. Don't be afraid of the painkillers. Take them if you need them. They will send you home with some too. You will need to have your "leak test" before they send you home, so don't pu****!.
Take good care of you and let's hear from you soon.
Regards and hugs,
Ronna
