My doc says Tylenol is the only pain med over the counter I will be able to take. I would check with your surgeon before doing so first though, but I would think it would be ok.

Really that is up to your surgeon, I don't see why not but it would be wise for you to call and ask! I bought liquid tylenol and i never even used it. Best of luck. Dana

Concur with the others about checking with your doctor but Tylenol seems to be the item of choice. I never had loratab, I had darvocet which was a pill, but allowed, and gave relief in less than 10 minutes.

Check with your doc on stuff like this. I was told I could take children's chewable or liquid sugar free tylenol, which I took because my only pain has been headache. We share the same date - I had my surgery Wednesday too. Congrats!

Hey Gwen! how are you doing? I went out and walked twice today since it was so nice, probably a total of 2 blocks each time. might have been able to do it just a bit further but dont want to over due it. I can tell you there is no way I will be able to take that loratab liquid. it is vile smelling! well maybe if I get in enough pain but it is just discomfort now so I dont feel the need to take anything Congrats on your surgery date too!
