I have 2 questions As of tomorrow I will be 2 weeks out and as of yesterday I feel like my stomach is more sensitive now then it was the past 12 days since surgery--could this be because the new pouch isnt as swollen at this point? or something else? Also yesterday & this morning I have a slight headache--I am getting in 80g of protein, between 50-60oz of H2O and my vitamins --has anyone else started getting headaches soon after surgery? I have felt sooooooo good since surgery except the past 2 days, I am hoping this wont last for very long--thanks for listening and any advice would be appreciated Lori

Lori, By sensitive, do you mean hurting physically or making you ill? I felt sick to my stomach a little during week 3 and the thought of things kind of turned my stomach. I have had no pain though since the first week. I feel physically, almost 100%. I wouldn't hesitate to call your doc though. I was worried about the amount of food I was able to eat, called and talked to Nut and things are much better now. Lisa

High concentrations of aspartame/nutrasweet (and somewhat splenda) can provoke headaches. Monitor this and how much you're getting in crystal lite, sf foods, etc...there's some of us who are more sensitive to this post op than before. ~Tiffany

Hi Lori; Congrats on your surgery.Yes,it could be you might need a bit more water.I also agree that some sweeteners can aggravate at first.I found that everything to me is tasting so sweet.(the protein powders).Today I am doing more pureed stuff and I feel better.Good luck Patsy
