SOUP... yummy.....
thank you all once again for your response to my question a few days ago regarding post-op diet. I took the suggestion a few of you made to strain out a can of regular soup(clear of course, not creamy) and what a difference it makes! I think I can make it to Monday when my 2 weeks of liquids is up and I can move on to full liquids(cream soups, pudding, pureed eggs) still very limited, but you all have been so great for motivation and I really am starting to feel better every day!

Iam still on the full liquids too. My nutritionist has on one of my menus to puree a can of chunky style beef soup, add 1tbsp of grated cheddar cheese to it. I had this last night and I have to admit it was pretty good but to look at it was not a pretty picture. Anyway 1/2 cup serving is 7.9 grams of protein. I have potato soup in my pantry and I love this kind of soup also, so I think I will try the same thing tonite. On Saturday I will be on Thin Pureed low sugar part. I will be in this phase for days 11 till 28. Geez whoever thought last year at this time that going for 10 days straight without any solids of any type would be acheivable. Take care and God Bless
