Is fish "pureed" food?
I will go on my pureed stage in a week, and I am already writing different ideas for foods so I can have my grocery list ready (can you tell I'm a bit excited by the prospect of moving into the next phase? lol). I was wondering, if I broil fish (salmon, for example), is it flaky and soft enough to be OK without any further puree?
LOLOL...Don't call Mama Helen...she is already PO'd 'bout that darn pastrami!
No, the people over on the Cali board seem to forget sometimes what they did on which stage, so I was hoping some newbie post-ops like me could help me out.
I was just hoping...sometimes I look at the posts of what everyone is eating and I can't tell what stage who is on!

I understand. Every Dr. is different and if you look at the post "what did you eat today" on this board you will see that not everybody is on the same type of diet. I know that fish is soft and might be soft "enough" but I stand my ground when I say call your dr.
other wise you might be in big trouble woman!
You are on yogurts now right? I can't remember...

I had tuna in the pureed stage. I stirred in a couple of tablespoons of lowfat cream of mushroom soup and added some lowfat cheese then zapped for a minute in the microwave. Kind of a Tuna alaKing. It was pretty good.
I really cheated on the pureed stage. I ate a lot of soft foods and just chewed a lot till it was "pureed" in my mouth
So I would have fish or chicken and had no problem. But do check with your doc.
