All, Just thought I'd post some stuff that helped me in the last 9 days. I really struggled last week and figure that anyone who is feeling like I was can use any help available... ...I am very temperature sensitive...all the protein that I have been taking in is in the form of protein drink-scles...I just couldn't get it in as a drink...freezing them made all the difference in the world ...my senses have been super acute...so everything has been too sweet too...again...for some weird reason the frozen protein wasn't ...my nausea last week was unbelievable! The thought of taking in anything was horrendous...I went back to clear liquids (water, ice chips and crystal lite) and then very slowly started adding in the protein....somehow restarting made it better ...walking has been very tough for me...it makes me very lightheaded...so I'm doing it in small doses...and the more protein I have in me the better.... ...I have been incredibly emotional! Weepy! and I got my period and it was definitely not time! Believe the warnings...your hormones are going crazy! ...hang in there...last week sucked this week is better...I really thought that I was prepared and that because I was in relatively decent shape (in terms of working out regularly, etc) that I would come out of this with bells on...not so much. Stay strong! Jen

Sounds like we're on opposite schedules. Last week was fabulous...this week so far I am going back to clear liquids, popsicles and water and slowing adding my protein back in. I froze some of my protein drink but haven't gotten the courage up yet to try it. Makes me nausues (sp?) thinking about it. Looks like I'll have to brave it. And now that you mention it, I am more sensitive then ever to sugar. I was never a sugar freak so I thought it was that, but now that you say you're super sensitive I realize that mine is more then before. We'll get through it. Just gotta take baby steps.

Hi Jen, Hang in there, it'll get better. My first 2 weeks were very rough for me also. I was still getting used to the whole idea of not being able to eat. It does get better as you can incorpoate more food choices. Take Care, Carly

Jen, Thanks for the encouraging words! I will agree that it hasn't been a walk in the park. However, I am finding that every single day I feel slightly better in small ways. Chele
