I'm home
I was released about 3:30 Thursday afternoon. It is so good to be home. I'm sore but other than that I feel pretty good. Fluids have not been a problem as I was a big water drinker before surgery. I just have to remember to sip instead of chug.
Hubby fixed me a pureed scrambled egg with cheese for breakfast this morning and let me say, "Dang, it was good!!!"
One of my techs (Robyn) in the hospital had the RNY 4 years ago and she was wonderful to talk to. She says it is such an inspiration for her to get to work with WLS patients. Robyn was a real sweety and gave me some good tips too.
The tech who came in on Wednesday morning (Sydney) and gave me a sponge bath is a GODDESS. I couldn't thank her enough. I felt like a new woman when she was done. Clean bed, clean gown, clean me - I was a happy camper.
Anyway, I'm glad to be home and glad to be on the healing side of surgery. Looking forward to the other changes to come.
