Hi everyone - I remember that at about 1 week out there were several of us who were down 14 lbs. Since then - the last four days I think - the scale has not moved for me, except POSSIBLY this a.m. a pound - maybe. I know that we won't be two weeks out till this coming Monday, but is anyone else experiencing this? The old fear that this is not going to work for me is trying to sneak in to my mind. I am getting my water and protein in almost completely every single day, and was put on pureed foods on Wednesday. Sylvia

Hi Sylvia, yes this is also happening to me, the scale even creeped up a little yesterday. I dont know what would cause this because I am not getting in any more this week than last week, but I do know I have an obsession with my scale and I need to stop! I weigh myself every day, and even 2-3 times a day! Karyn

Hello 123rs and others from Jan.; Overall things are going great! Yes,it does seem that after the scale was so good to me the first week, that it seems sluggish the past 4 or 5 days. But,that is why it is recommended that we do not jump on all the time.I am going to try to wait until wednesday when i go back for my first followup.I am still doing soft stuff.Last night I tried some pureed chicken in a pureed soup and it did not settle well.I am experimenting with different things to see what settles good. Hope everyone is hanging in there. Patsy

This is the reason why I refuse to have a scale in my house. I would be obsessing about every pound. Fact is, your weight WILL fluctuate, every day and at different times of the day. What you are looking for is a general downward trend over a period of time. Can you only weigh yourself once a week or once every two weeks? Chele

I agree with Chele, step away from the scale and do not get on it more than once a week!! Give yourself something to look forward to and make the weigh ins something you enjoy rather than dread and use as a means to beat yourself up!! There's lots of success ahead! Tiffany

My surgery was on 1/10 and I have not seen the scale move in almost 1 1/2 weeks. My clothes are getting smaller so I am not too concerned, but the weight has not budged one little bit. I have heard this is common so I am not too worried about it. It is frustrating, but just continue to eat what you have been advised to and all will work out. Kristie

Hi everyone. I'm going through the same thing. I'm actually been kind of depressed lately. I am realizing that my old habits are still there and IT IS possible to not lose weight and how easy it is for this tool to fail. As soon as I was able to eat solid/soft food I went grocery shopping and I bought stuff that I thought i could eat in moderation. BUT, I find myself not sticking to my docs initial meal plan. To make a long story short, I feel like I'm screwing up already. For some reason I thought it would be SO EASY once I had the surgery, but it's not. Anyway, I started my day off really good today. I am writing down now what i eat, so that I actually know everything i'm eating. I lost 13 lbs at my one week post op and now am at 242. Take care, erica
