Today so far I have had 4 oz. Lactaid, w/protien powder, 4 oz. of SF pudding, still working on 8 oz of water w/protein powder and 3 to 4 oz of golden mushroom soup with water. Everyone elses meals are like 1 to 2 ozs and more water. I am still on full liquids until tomorrow. Please tell me if I am doing this wrong. My stomach feels full all the time....

It sounds like you're doing great! As you move onto more dense foods the quantity consumed may drop a bit as a smaller amount will fill you up; liquids are processed faster. Eat what feels right and follows your surgeon guidelines. Good luck and keep up the great work!! ~Tiffany

You are doing good. My doc actually said I wasn't taking in enough. The reasons solid food/soft food people's meals are small is because they aren't telling you how much liquid they are taking in also. Meals are small, but you are always drinking to get your 64 oz in. ::hugs:: cyndi

Sounds normal to me... those foods are very soft and will "slide" through your pouch faster then solid foods. For example, I can eat 4 oz of smooth yogurt but there is no way I could ever eat 4 oz of chicken right now.

I got it now... Thanks for the support. I am sooo afraid of stretching my pouch and thought because I feel so full all the time maybe I was eating too much....I'll keep doing what i'm doing... Thanks

I was like that the first 1 1/2 weeks, I couldn't believe how much I could eat and then I swear my pouch shrank over night last Sunday night and I haven't been able to eat much since. I don't know if this is normal for everyone...but I know I have read some people say that they were the same way. In my experience, your stomach will tell you. Be careful not to over do. I have also read, and experienced, that your tolerances and tastes will change after the first week or so. Just a heads up in case.

Thanks for the warning Jessica. I'm not yet a full week out and have had no problems with nausea since leaving the hospital and have had no periods of vomiting at all. I get at least 32 oz of water each day and I'm able to take my supplements. I have already been able to tolerate a pureed scrambled egg and pureed refried beans w/cheese. I feel like I must be overeating for this stage but have had no problems and I do make sure the consistency is that of baby food and measure out a 1/4 cup portion of most things. At least if I do experience a change in tolerance and taste I'll know it's normal.
