Peanut Butter
According to my doc, I should NOT being having peanut butter, but I admitt to dipping in the spoon a few times since surgery and tonight I even added a spoonful to my chocolate RTD protein shake
I just make certain to record it in my daily intakes and I have never had more then 1 TBS at a time.
I just have the regular creamy kind (I did NOT have RNY though, so I dont know what dumping affects this could have on those with RNY).

I had my surgery 1-30-06 at South San Francisco Kasier. They put you through ALOT of classes before letting you have the surgery and one gib time no no food is peanut butter, popcorn, noodles, rice. It is going to plug. And hurt. Your right....I love chocolate and peanut butter by my fear of dumping is bigger. No cheating......
I wonder how about sugarfree chocolate like those mini ones. Could you just suck on them in your mouth.......I need to ask someone.....
Take care suzan
The foods listed in Suzan's response are the same no-no's on my surgeon's list and for the same reasons. PB is not as forbidden as the others but they speak to it as grease and wasted food which may clog one up. I had hopes after reading all these excited posts and went to check my nutritional instructions....darn it!
Regarding the sugarfree chocolates, another item they reinforced over and over is to avoid any SF foods that have the sugars ending in 'tol' - malitol, sorbitol, etc.... Apparently these are also used as baby laxitives and will send you to the loo. Almost all of those SF candies have the 'tol' sugars, I already checked that out.
