Hi all. I really enjoy seeing what everyone's having for their meals. It's interesting about the "rules" of eating that everyong has and how much they can vary.
B - one egg, scrambled with Pam in pan and 1 slice of 2% yellow cheese
L - tuna w/some shredded 2% cheedar and FF mayo with four crackers
D - out to dinner at Applebees...had the grilled talapia and comes with rice, marsala sauce and mixed veggies. Only ate a little of the fish (no rice, no sauce & no veggies till month three) till I felt that now familiar knot in my chest indicating I ate one bite too many. Anyone else feel that? Talk about uncomfortable. Yuck!

I have been cleared for meat since week 4. I started with ground beef and turkey and graduated to pulled meat and then went right to real meat/chicken. I was told if I eat a very tender piece of meat it would go down better. The pasta made me want to puke so I wont do that again for a while. I can now eat what ever I want, I am not limited to anything as long as I stay low fat, low sugar. I doctor knows I am going to Ruths Chris this weekend for dinner for my friends birthday and he said to eat a ounce or so of steak, and a spoonful here and there of everyone elses sides.
The only problem I have really had was not chewing this weekend and getting a piece of chicken stuck. I also was talking and not paying attention. I was in massive pain for 2.5 hours before I called my surgeon and while I was talking to him I started puking and that continued for about 2.5 more hours.
It is funny about the different doctors, mine is not so worried about eating real food on week six of eating but does not allow alcohol for 1 year and I dont think sodas ever again.
