I love the beans from both Baja and Taco Bell, those will continue for me. But chicken is out, everytime I ate it I felt horrible. Flour tortillas did not work well, either. Probably the same issue as regular bread, it swells. We should talk about goals with all the financial savings....new clothes? Vacation to somewhere exotic where minimal clothes are needed???

Hi guys, I am kinda new here and don't really know my way around the site much but guess I need to start somewhere, this topic cought my attention because I recently was craving a hamburger really bad... I went to Carls Jr and orderred their basic 99 cent big burger, I squeezed any excess greese onto a napkin and at about an ounce of the patty. Boy was I ever sick! For 4 hours, I felt like I would just die... even had my ex husband come sit at my house in case i needed to go to the emergency room it was aweful. According to the program I am on, I can eat hamburger meat now... and I know I only ate about an ounce so I didn't go over my 2ounce meal size... I don't think I will ever eat another hamburger as long as I live.

Hi Surgery Date Sister, At my one month visit today we talked about just your situation. They said OK to loose meat but not the pressed kind like you'd get in a restaurant burger, he emphasized that this is the worst choice I could make. So if you are clear for meat, just cook it yourself and leave it loose. Good luck and welcome to the site! Tiffany

Hey! thanks for the tip! I will keep that in mind, however, I really don't think hamburger meat will ever appeal to me again! LOL I hope I am wrong though! I was cleared to eat meat "soft meats, sliced deli meat, chicken, turkey, hamburger" last week... I haven't had any problems with anything but the hamburger, but then again I didn't cook it loose... good information! Maybe I will get up my nerve to try it again sometime. Thanks for the welcome! Julieanne
