Hi all! I guess its my day to post a million messages! LOL I have also been craving some ice cream... don't ask me why. Well, this morning, I whipped up some pudding and put protein powder in it. It was the instant kind and should have stiffened after 5 mins. The pudding never stiffened! So I put in the freezer. Oh my gosh, I'm eating it right now for dessert- SO YUMMY! And on a happy note, due to fitday.com, I know how much I'm eating! Today I've had 113 gm of protein lol and 857 calories.... is that too much??? I'll limit the protein tomorrow.... today was the first day I decided to reach for my goal of 80 grams.... I overdid it a bit lol Jaci

Wow Jaci, I thought it was tough only having to get 60 grams for crying in the beer. I could not imagine 110. You go girl. I have not heard of "Too much protien"???? I will be interested to find out what people have to say. Check with your nut, but mine says people will more than likley average around 900 for quite a while. You go, "Protien Girl" Kristie

LOL! I definately haven't gotten that much in before! Today, I was just trying to be conscious of my intake. Love my new chocolate caramel powder! That milk and powder tasted like liquid graham crackers! LOL

113grams may be too much, my nutritionalist told me last Wed not to go too much over 80 grams because it is hard on your liver and kidneys--Im wondering what others have been told

Lori, I had read this before on another message board and asked the nurtritionist the same question. She said that anything over 60 g (or maybe it was 80. I have a brain like a sieve) is wasted since our body eliminates the excess. Eliminating the excess protein wouldn't be harmful to healthy kidneys but could hurt kidney's already damaged by diabetes, etc. The emphasis is on 'could'. I think if there is any doubt though, it wouldn't hurt to get a doctor's opinion. If he has one. Mary in TN

That was the day I tried to get in as much as possible. Today, I've done horribly! Here was that day's menu: B- 1/2 egg, 1/2 oz cheese S- the nectar crystal sky drink (23g protein right there) L- 1/2 cup chicken soup S- 1 cup Low Fat Milk, 1 sc chocolate caramel protein powder (21g) D- 2 oz tuna, some mayo and relish- way too sweet for me lol S- pudding icecream: 1/2 pkg SF FF vanilla pudding, 1 sc vanilla powder (21g), 1 cup milk.... freeze and yummy! According to Fitday, it was all 113 grams. Foster Farms milk was 11 grams/cup. So far, I haven't been able to get close. Closest was 70g and I need 80. Today was terrible... I probably have like 15 grams Good luck! Drink those shakes or put the powder in stuff. The pudding icecream is my savior, gotta get some more! *~*Jaci*~*
