Hi everyone--I have been taking a chewable multivitamin and I had a B12 shot before I left the hosptal, well today I was going to start taking my liquid multivitamin from bariatric eating and my liquid B12 however I noticed one of the ingredients is fructose---I was under the impression we couldnt have that but maybe I misunderstood somewhere along the line--I dont want to take something that could make me dump or feel awful---any info and opinions would be appreciated--thanks as always and have a great weekend! fructose is a natural sugar. As with sugar, the amount is what is important. 4g. is equal to a teasoon of sugar. From what I gather 16 g. is high for us in a meal, I stay below 3g if I can. So it's not so much as a no no, as it is a watch for it. They often use fructose as an added sugar as well, you see, fruit has it naturally, so you will have to eat some if you ever eat any fruit. I use the childrens chewable vitamins, might take a look at the amounts of stuff and compare it to the liquid. I have not found any other vitamin that has as high of levels as the childrens do, anywhere. Just something to look at, oh and no fructose.
