1. What date was your surgery? 11 January 2006 2. What were your first couple weeks post-surgery like? Slow, sore. I looked it at it as my rebirth and decided to enjoy being down, I dont often get quiet time in my life. 3. How much weight have you lost so far? -28 lbs, gone forever!!! 4. What has been your biggest challenge so far? Getting my energy back to 100%, I am still at 90% but since I came off the BP med I feel even better. 5. How much water are you consuming daily? About 2 liters which is about 64 oz, I've always been a big water drinker but needed to learn not to gulp it all down. 6. What's your favorite post-surgery food? cheese, I eat so many kinds. For years this was a big no-no. And black beans from Baja Fresh - yum! 7. What's your least favorite post-surgery food? My old toothpaste - does that count? One day it tasted disgusting and I had to find another I could enjoy. Also aspartame, its in everything. Chicken and eggs dont work well for me, either. 8. What type of exercise are you doing and how many minutes a day? My black lab is highly committed to our AM walks so we do a mile to two and a half to start every single day. I am not cleared for anything other than the treadmill/walking until months end so I do both as my energy allows which, at this point, is not too much beyond the AM walk. Does afternoon naps count as exercise?

Hello Jan losers; Hope all is well. Surgery date was jan 23 My first couple of weeks went okay. No pain at all. Some nausea here and there the first week, but nothing since. My favorite post op food has been a scrambled egg with ricotta cheese in it. My least favoritehas been chicken pureed{did not settle well{ Also the stallone pudding to me tasted like elmers glue.Vile. I am walking right n ow until I get some endurance back. I went back to work on thursday and felt fine. Good luck to all of you. Patsy
