Well I've read it can be a while before you can conceive after being on Depo I think I read up to a year or two - and different surgeons recommend different time frames of 12-24 months before trying to get pregnant. So I think the pregnancy forum would be a great source of info. Sooooo many people get pregnant after WLS so stay positive and enjoy your weight loss for now! I have hypertension and so oral contraceptives were a no no for me because of the hormones I could have a stroke or other complications so I'm on the Depo too.

Karyn, We use condoms. We do this mainly because I am on cobra for my medical insurance and I don't want to start taking a Rx contraceptive only to have to stop because I can't afford to pay out of pocket for it. They work fine for us and they are cheap enough. We buy them at walmart because the have the self check out. I know, I'm a married adult, I shouldn't be embarrased, but I am. Dawn

Doesn't the Novaring have hormones in it, I have seen the commercial and it says it has the same side effects as the pill. Lynda
