Hi everyone! I just got home from my 1 month post op exam. 1st let me just say my Dr's office scale is wrong lol. It said I lost 27.6lbs but I know I actually lost 30lbs total since surgery! I did let him know it is different then the scale at the barriatric office where my scale is calibrated to match but that since it was only a couple of pounds I would let it ride for now. lol I am happy with 27.6lbs on paper. I get to start adding in more foods, some fruits mainly(thank goodness cause I really wasn't getting enough fiber ICK) But am still supposed to stick with 1/4 cup 3 times a day and 75% protein (the other 25% can be fiberous) I can finally start going to the gym again, but only to work my legs and arms, he said no core excerise for a couple more weeks and no water aerobics until then either because my incisions aren't completely healed yet. I really miss my water aerobics!! I talked to him about my low energy, he said it is normal and I shouldn't worry about it... he said the healing takes energy as well as the weight loss and that one day I will cross the line and wake up with more energy then I have had in years! I am really looking forward to that! All in All it went really well and Im really happy I can start adding in some more variety!! Happy Valentines Day! ~Julieanne

Congrats Julieanne!!!!!!, I know what you mean about variety, I couldn't wait to get more foods in my "Diet" I have been out about 6 weeks now and I am also down 30 pounds. I have been kinda tired too but I know it will pass. Just take everything one day at a time...... Have a Great Day!!!! Kathleen

Awesome report - glad to hear of your successes. I also go by my scale at home, one number is much easier and that's what I see most regularly! All the best, Tiffany

Way to go on the weight loss! It is exciting to hear you can add some variety to your meals! And he is right... one day you will wake up with energy. I remember when I was like 3 weeks out I was SO sleepy all the time, but now, I am back to having the same amount of energy, if not a bit more then I had PreOp... and I am sure eventually, I will have even more.
