If i didn't know better- I'd think this was my post. i am having the exact same isuses----hate food- can barely get any in- and am not geting sufficient protein or water. I also have nausea that comes and goes and extreme lactose intolerance. i vomited a few times this week which was new for me- but it happened at work- and its my first week back- so maybe stress related... My surgeon stated i am losing weight a bit too quickly. i have lost 25% of my excess body weight over the last month- when the expected amount is 15%. I keep putting effort into eating and drinking but just can get enough in. maybe pouch is too small...who knows. Venting too, karen

Oh giiiirl...I wish the thought of food made me ....just a little queasiness would be nice! Anything to stop feeling like I am STARVING!! I can eat 1/2 cup of whatever and be hungry soon after. Yes I am "one of those people..." I HATE IT! But I digress... I'm concerned for you...you especially need water, then protein. What does your doctor say? You sure don't want to get dehydrated. Hope it gets better for you soon! Chele

Are you on regular foods yet? I ask because I have had feelings of constant hunger before I got to regular foods, which is when my dislike of anything related to food came into play.

I am supposed to move to normal foods on Monday, but have eaten a few things for the past several days, just because I can't stand the feeling of hunger all the time. I have eaten Wendy's chili (half of a small is one "meal"), a few nibbles of hamburger (minus the bun), scalloped potatoes, and Pintos and Cheese from Taco Bell. I have no problems getting these foods in 1/2 time frame and once I do eat, I am satisfied....but not for long! Know what the kicker is? Before surgery, I could go all day and not be hungry at all (then make poor choices at night!). I never liked to think about food all the time, especially with my busy schedule. I could go for a long time and not want to eat...but not now! I'm trying to increase the fluids and today I drank an extra protein shake and that is helping so far. Anyway, I know I don't belong in this thread....so I'll shut up now! I read in my WLS folder from my surgeon, that if you're having problems with solids, to back up and go to clear liquids for a day, then full liquids...and work your way back to normal foods. Do you guys who are having issues think that may help? I'm sorry it's such a struggle to get in the necessary elements such as water and protein (the most important!). I'm also an oddball out because I have found protein powder that I actually enjoy... I hope once we're fully healed, things will be easier for you! Hugs, Chele

I haven't been on for a while because I went back to work and now sleep all day from the minute I get home. Buuuuuuuuttttttttt, this is exactly what my mom has told me to check on. I cant eat anything. I'm not getting in my water and I'm not getting in my protein. The thought of food makes me nauseous. YEt, I'm hungry all the time too! When I eat, I usually spend the next two hours nursing down two Tums to settle my stomach. I have lost 50#s in 4 1/2 weeks. I just wish something tasted good or would go down. DeAnna 258/209/135?
