Hi everyone. I was reading back a few days ago and someone had mentioned pizza.. I have been dying for Pizza. So I figured I would get creative and try something new. To my surprise it was so good! Ok. I got these low Carb Tortillas from the store. Like 18 grams of carbs (but 11 grams dietary) Anyway, I used 1 tortilla, I used a tablespoon or 2 from a can pizza sauce (Don Pipno) Something like that, yellow can. Mozzarella Cheese About a hand full , turkey pepperoni about 5 slices, Fresh Parsley, oregano, salt and pepper and a little bit of Parmesan cheese fresh shredded in a bag. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil on a flat skillet. Heat up tortilla a little bit, just until warm. Add all thestuff to half of the tortilla. Fold in half. lightly brown on both sides until all the cheese is melted. YUMMY PIZZA! You get a lot of protein, not sure exact amount, but its low fat, low carb, and yummy! Hope you all enjoy it as much as I did. Even though I was only able to eat a quarter of it. ( and I even use the small tortillas), but enjoy! Michelle

Hi Michelle! I did try something very similiar to this, only difference was I sprayed pam on both sides and garlic powder, then baked it to get crispy before i put the toppings on then baked it again, just like a pizza, not folded(and no pepperoni yet for me, next week I can try that) and you are right it was sooo good, I ended up overeating twice because it was the first really yummy thing I have had since surgery! However, I didnt get sick, just REALLY full. Ann, Really try the turkey pepperoni.. I love regular pepperoni and was very hesitant in trying the turkey kind.. But it tastes exactly the same. But not as greasy. It is very good! And better for you. Let me know if you try it. Michelle

Michelle, I ate the turkey pep before I had surgery all the time(and I do mean ALL the time) and tried going back to regular and it was too greasy, but I don't think I can have even the turkey pepperoni yet.??? My booklet doesn't really have anytime when I can have pepperoni, so I am unsure when I can add it back in. Any ideas...

Well, I went on pureed foods at my 2nd week then to a full diet at my 4th week. I think you might want to wait a couple of weeks. But if you are really wanting pizza you can always try it, I guess if you get sick you'll know you should have waited.. LOL Sorry I cant give you better advice! Michelle
