Okay, my surgery was 1/3 and I have not lost a pound for 2 weeks. I called Doctor's office and nutritionist said "That's not normal" Great, now what? I'm hoping I didn't screw something up. I know the rules. Anyone else from early Jan surgery dates experiencing this? Lisa

Yes, I am looking at it as my body adjusting, having confidence in what I've eaten and a small part of the big picture. If we're all stalled it sounds pretty normal......have you measured yourself to see how many inches you have lost? While I have stalled a bit the inches are coming off so I am not worried, I am in this for the long term success, not the immediate gratification.

Lisa, It has been about 2 weeks since I lost anything too. Today has been a very hard day for me. I guess I shouldn't have come home because I just wanted to lay down and do nothing. This is TOTALLY not like me. I just couldn't get full today. Then I went and weighed and the scales were up 2 lbs. I don't know what is going on with my body. I just have to stay positive and remember that this is going to work for us. Good luck!

{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{LISA}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}} I KNOW how incredibly FRUSTRATING and HARD stalls are to deal with especially early out. I have been on one for an entire month. I would cry, ponder what I was doing wrong, worry about if my thyroid was messed up and agonize. Now looking back, I was really wasting my time and emotionally making myself a wreck for really no reason. Doing this isn't going to make the stall disappear... I finally went to the doctor yesterday and he said that *as long as you are stricktly following the rules* of your surgery then this is just a stall and you have to be patient. I wrote about my visit with my surgeon that happend just yesterday. Scroll through the boards, its titled something like "Back from dr. (re:stall)" If you haven't already read through it. The visit was very reassuring for me. HTH

I think that we are all going through the same thing. I had mine done the day before you and am also experiencing a stall. I think we all need to stay OFF the scales, keep a positive attitude, follow our Dr's rules and hope for the best!!! Driving ourselves crazy is not healthy...

I don't own scales....Threw them out when I hit 300 lbs...(most scales don't go that high) and I think it is good that I can't weigh myself everyday or even every week. I have decided just to weigh at the scheduled appointments and no other time for a while..I just don't need the frustration...but stay positive. Our bodies are trying to adjust to a huge change and we are bound to stall for the times when we lose 1520 lbs in just weeks....Heads up and smile

Ann E. Im with you! I havent ever owned a scale. I think it is much better this way because everyone else on this site with a scale panics more about stalls. I guess the way I see it is unless you have a serious problem with the surgery you will lose the weight if you are doing what you are suppose to. I hope no one takes that the wrong way. But I just feel better not knowing until my Dr. appts. If I havent lost anything by then, well then I know Im either doing something wrong or I need to do more. But Lisa, Hang in there. For your DR. to say it isnt normal is odd. Everyone on this site Im sure has had a stall. So, I would do what they tell you to and if you are not still losing maybe they need to look more into it being a problem with the surgery. Michelle
