I had surgery on 1/9/2006 and I haven't had any problems at all until now. I have been suffering from upper gas for 2 days now. I took Gas-X and nothing. It is extremely painful. I feel like I need to burp but it just doesn't come out. Has anyone had this problem? and if so, what did you take for it. The pain is on my chest and cripping up my left shoulder. Thanks, Sonia

I never had this problem but a friend did. It is the gas that never came out right after your surgery and it gets lodged somewhere. Im sorry to say to think you just have to let it work it self out. But maybe you should ask your surgeon. I dont know about it, this is 2nd hand info. Good luck! Michelle

Sonia, I have the same pain and it is improving. It is from the gas the surgeon uses to help him see during the surgery. It is very uncomfortable but it has to work out on it's own. Cathy

Sonia, I am sure that by now you are probably doing a lot of walking. My doc said that this helps. SIP, WALK, SIP, WALK, SIP WALK. I had it for about 2 days. One night it was so bad I was up in my living room running around in circles and jumping up & down. At 5 am I was exhausted, laid down and prayed to God that it was gone when I woke up in the morning. It was. Good luck. Beth M
