low carb wraps
I have a quick question since I cant call my nutritionalist until tomorrow--I am almost 5 weeks out and I bought low carb wraps-130 cal for a full one 2.5g fat, 11g protein and 7g of carbs after you take away the 9 g of fiber--the question I have is this-will the wraps after chewing very well expand like bread can in your pouch or cause any other problems that anyone knows about--i thought they were a great idea to get however now I dont know -- Please advise-thanks
I'm allowed breads but only if they are really well toasted because they supposedly swell up and get stuck. The few bites of wraps that I ate started to feel like they were swelling so I have not had any and plan to stay away for awhile.
In a post yesterday there was a neat idea about toasting them into a little pizza.
Good luck with them!

I eat them, usually for lunch, and usually only half of one, with some chicken salad.
My Dr. said that they were fine, but my emphasis is to get that protein in, so as long as I am eating enough meat/cheese with the tortilla, and chewed really well, and quit before I get too full, they are okay.
My nut. said that bread, crackers, pasta, etc. are okay, as long as I am getting the protein.
Protein, protein, protein.
They've all told me not to be too concerned with fat and carbs, but I'd been on LowCarb for about 5-6 years... I will always watch carbs... even if I endulge once in a while... I will always be concious of what I am eating...
Try them, be careful, but enjoy!
