incision site?

Ive talked to a number of others who had the LAP Roux en Y like me and Im curious...where is your incision site? I have six tiny cuts on my MIDRIFF...is that where most have it? strange question, I know..Im just curious. Nancy B

I have six as well. 3 on the right side, 2 on the left and one in my belly button. Leeanne

i have 5 plus where the drain was. 2 on the left 2in the middle 1 on the right.dave

I believe it depends on the surgeon--I have 4 friends that have had it done and including me we all have different incision sites-I only have 5 : 2 on my left side,2 in the middle of my midsection above my bellybutton and 1 on my right side above my waist--

I think that mine are in weird spots after I seen those pics. I have 3 that are almost in between my breasts but a little lower I have on the side left where the drain was and then one on each side of my belly button. Weird? Jenn

I have 6. One just below my breast bone in the center. The other 5 make up a "smiley face" with the one in my belly button being the middle of the smile! Lisa

Hi Nancy! I have seven! LOL I have the normal incision sites throughout my abdomen as well as a seventh where they took out my extra spleen. I guess I was special that day *~*Jaci*~*

I have 6 incisions total. Three down the middle with the bottom one in my belly button. One on the right and two more on the left, they almost form a cross. The two on the upper part of the t are more like punctures while the rest are cuts. I actually posted pictures of the day I returned home from the hosp, they are on my website if you want to see them (not very pretty - LOL!)

I have one about an inch above my belly button and one an inch below my breast bone. Two on my ride and one on my left. Then I have one where my drain was for a total of 6.
