Pouch Pain....

I am 5 weeks out and have been experiencing nagging pain in my pouch. I've suspected it might be gas.... I need to "confess" that I've been drinking full-leaded coffee for the past couple weeks, ahead of schedule for when I was told I could. My cousin mentioned "hernia" and I keep seeing mentions of "strictures". I'm not really clear as to what either IS. Do you think it might the acidic nature of the coffee that is irritating my pouch? Gas? It seems to help when I drink a little bit of milk or when I take a couple Gas-X's. Any help here is appreciated. ~Teri~ 279/251/140

It may be from a build up of stomach acid. You might want to call your dr. and see what he says. Our dr. has us on Actigall to reduce the stomach acid so we don't get ulcers. Check it out!!!! Dana

Hi Teri - I also have a cup of leaded in the a.m. I noticed before I started taking the Prilosec that it kindof hurt too. But when I remembered the Dr. had me get the Pri and I had it filled - duh! had forgotten to start it - anyway, no more tummy pain. Sylvia
