Jaci Updates

Hi all, remember a few weeks back I talked about telling my Grandma about the surgery and how she's totally against it, etc? Well I told her two Sundays ago. After church I got her and my Aunt in the Choir room and said tomorrow is February 6th...(yeah) its also my one month anniversary of having Gastic By-Pass Surgery. Both of them just looked at me... it was the longest ten seconds of my life! I guess the were in shock. Well Thursday at Choir Practice, my Grandmother actually told me she was proud of me and could tell a difference!! She's supporting me, YEAH! I also have the great opportunity to know a couple in the local 4-H club who both have had the surgery- about seven years ago. The husband has lost tons of weight and now says he's a bit under and trying to eat as much as possible where his wife, for some reason, was unable to reach goal. Her pouch was always hungry! She lost around 80 pounds and then became pregnant, and gained weight back. Unfortunately, the surgery didn't work out for her. I've been talking with them ever since I told the group and they have given me so much insight. The wife is now looking into getting a revision of the surgery and hopefully it'll work now... I recommended my doctor of course! LOL But anywho, their aughter actually told me I was getting Skinny! I would never have thought someone would say I'd be skinny. LOL Of course it could have been her eleven year old vocabulary, but Skinny is skinny! I am also proud to say the pants I was fitting into comfortably last week are big and I have to pull them up constantly! I've also lost a bra size- that counts towards inches right? lol Right now, I'm noticing inches rather than pounds, but inches are awesome too! Just had to give a little update! *~*Jaci*~*

Awesome Jaci!! You go girl!! I have a few people in my life who are totally against WLS, my boyfriend for one lol, and then some family members...I sure hope they turn their attittudes around soon Sounds like you're doing good!! Congrats!!! ~Jewels
