Exercise anyone?
I go to the gym probably 3-4 times a week and just do cardio for about 45 minutes. I like doing that but I need some variety. Does anyone do aerobics or toning? I'd like to start my kickboxing class back up, and do some basic aerobics, but I'm not sure if I should start that up just yet. Is anyone doing these things yet? Thanks!

Has your Doc released you? If so, then do what you feel comfortable with. Start off slow and listen to your body, if it says ugh, then stop or slow down or take a break. I go to the gym 7 days a week. I am there for an hour, cardio and weights. I have been going since 3 weeks out. Had to wait a week before I could use weights that worked my stomach, but did leg weights and all.
Hi April,
My doctor released me to work out as long as my body agrees. I have been going to the gym and doing tae bo at home (similar to kick boxing) and I have not had any problems.
He suggested I do weights to tone because we are losing rapidly and it is better to start toning as early as possible so we do not end up with so much sag.
But, listen to your body!

Oh you guys are so good, I havetn done any exercise yet. I just have no time, I already wake up at 6am to get me and my 3 babies out of the house at 7am then I get home and by the time I get them all fed, bathed and in bed its 8:30 and time to make dinner and then I am exausted and fall into bed. I do walk around at work and I do chase them around the house when I am home with them. This is the one aspect of the surgery I am failing in.

I have one more day until I am released to full exercising. I mostly swim and do resistence training and my doc wanted about 6 weeks healing before I went back to them. I have been walking (although not enough) and doing some light free weights with my arms just to keep some tone.
Watch out March 1st. I will be down in Florida for two weeks with a pool and the beach.
