When I read the menus of all of you poster I feel like I shouldn't be able to get out of bed with how little I eat. Eats a good day if I eat 3 times. I throw up protein shakes. The nectar protein makes me feel like I'm going to throw up. I hate food!!! I hate eating!!! I force myself each time. It's been this way since day 1. Most days I feel like I have morning sickness all day. At least at the end of that you get a baby. My dr. gave me Compazine for the nauseausness (sp) but it makes me too sleepy to take it. I can't sleep and take care of my daughter at the same time. I'm cranky and weak most of the time. Anyone else feel like this? I've lost 48 pounds in 35 days. That doesn't seem healthy to me. I'm going to call my dr. again today. I've seen him the last 2 Mondays. He set my next appt. for 2 months. I guess he thinks I'm ok. Amy

Amy, sorry to hear you are having such a rough time. for the first week or two of eating I just concentrated on cottage cheese alot. then I moved to tuna and fish. and turkey chili goes down good too. I understand you are cranky and tired if you arent getting in the food and water you are suppose to. did you mix the nectar with crystal lite or juice? Let us know how you are doing. that is a large weight loss, I am no where near that! Kim

I mixed the lemonade nectar with crystal lite. I get all my water in. That's pretty much all I have. I can eat sliced turkey, and I'm not a fan of tuna so that's not an option for me. It's just whenever I eat, no matter how slow I feel sick afterwards. I talked to the dr. today, and he said it's fine as long as in a couple of months I'm still the same way. Which I think is crazy, since all I hear is protein, protein, protein. Some days I can drink the isopure premade drinks, so I have those. Thanks.

How funny that our taste buds can so widely differ, I LOVE the bottled pre made ones and think they taste like clean pennies. Just kidding on the penny part, seriously, I drink 2-3 a week! My favorite is the apple melon.

Amy, if makes you feel better, my doc only cares about hydration at this point. He's told me twice, "Oh, those nutritionists will push that protein stuff, but right now it's all abou****er, water, water." I, too, don't get in very many calories of food compared to some of our other January buddies. I asked the doc at my 4 week appointment (last week) if it was ok that I could still only eat about 1/2 an egg. He told me that my pouch is sized to 20ccs. A level tablespoon is 15cc, so according to that, my pouch can really only hold 1 1/3 Tbs. at a time. That's not a lot of food, so no wonder my calorie amount when it comes to the food is low. Fortunately for me, I can tolerate the protein supplements. I love the Nectar Lemonade (I mix it with Raspberry crystal light) and the Isofruit Pineapple protein (I mix it with orange C.L.). As for the 48 pounds, I don't know what you're starting weight was, but that doesn't sound that out of the ballpark to me. I would ask your doctor if he could give you another medicine for the nausea. I've had a little nausea off and on, but for the most part I've been good. Keep getting in your water/fluids and hopefully the food will get better. Lisa S.

HI Amy, The same here- I think some of us just adjust better/body-wise than others. I have to push to get 3 meals in a day and get my protein count up. Nausea all the time and diarreha constantly. I am finally getting the D under control with benefiber and have been told to avoid all dairy for lactose intolerance. Push the liquids and eat what we can- take our vitamins and let's hope we evenutally get past this cj

Amy, thank you for posting this since this is the same problem I am having. I was doing so well at being able to eat about a 1/2 cup of food per meal. Well in the last few days I am lucky if I can eat a 1/8 of a cup and am dumping. The only thing I can keep down is liquids. I will be seeing my surgeon this Wed night at a support group and am going to talk to him about it. Will let you know what I find out. Good Luck Amy! -Sue 242/210/150
