Lori: Unfortunately I don't have medical advice for you, only encouragement. I had surgery shortly after you and haven't experienced what you're going through. However, if it's fearful to you, continue to follow up with your doctor. And, if necessary, call your surgeon and ask if this is something that could be associated with surgery. There's no reason that you should have to be this upset and worried and not have answers. If you have to call you pcp everyday, do so. Ask to get a second opinion, also, if necessary. You are your best advocate. Keep us posted, please. Best wishes always, Kim

Are we able to take pyridium? It's an analgesic which helps the symptoms of a UTI...(it also colors your urine orange!). I don't know if we as WLSers can take it though. Can you call your doctor and ask? It's worth it...it can help until the antibiotics kick in! It's so awful to deal with...I know, I have had some real doozies in the past (and I'm prone to getting them). I hope you feel better soon! Keep drinking the water/fluids! Chele
