Ice Cream
I know, it shoudl be avoided but today I found Breyers Light CarbSmart Icecream and bought some... If I only have a 1/4 cup it is less carbs then a NSA Fudgicle, and only like 10 more calories... so I figured it would be ok ;) and it has a smidge more protein.
I will have to be EXTRA CAREFUL to LIMIT my PORTION to less then 1/4 cup.
I agree with you Teresa-I have looked at all the sugar free sweets every time I have been to the grocery store and I know if I start it will be dangerous--hopefully one day i will be able to do it but for now I know its a big no no for me as well--but to everyone else-let them eat SF cake, ice cream, cookies and candy and enjoy them for me

I looked thru them all today when I was at the store. A few weeks ago I had the slim-a-bear SF klondikes and the sugar alcohols did not agree. I remembered the sensation and that empowered me to walk away; I am not sure i'd have the will power to eat just the one serving amount so I am doing without. More power to those who can manage this.

I have to tell you, M.M. I'm had a VBG about 20 years ago and my addiction to junk food (and things like ice cream and candy in particular) really sabotaged my success; and I lost from around 315 down to 160. (I got a revision on 1/27/06 and am doing wonderfully). So my advice is to follow your instincts and avoid it altogether, especially if you (like me) have ever had a talent for polishing off a gallon of ice cream at a time. To me the stuff's like heroin.
I believe if it's a personal trigger (if you cannot leave it along and can't stop at a portion), then to avoid legal treats. If not, they are FINE. This is just my personal opinion, however.
I have several different types of SF and no sugar/LITE ice cream novelties in the freezer, from SF popsicles to ice cream bars (Dreyers/CarbSmart). I have one as an occasional treat and just log it in Fitday, and go on with living.
