There have been several occations since having surgery that I have felt deprived. When I have something yummy in front of me I want to eat a LOT of it. Well tonight I was at a formal dinner. It was a four course meal and I ordered what I wanted for each course (including desert!). I ate just a few bites of each thing. I had a spinach salad w/blueberries,feta,pecans and an incredible blueberry vinegarette. I also had filet minon,a tiny bit of tiramisu and a bite of incredible garlic bread! I got to try everything and it all agreed with me. I didn't pu**** and I left the party feeling great! It is possible to live this lifestyle without feling deprived! YAY!

Yes! I think it is great! Sometimes I watch skinny people eat and they don't mind leaving lots of food on their plates. And a lot of them eat really slowly! Now we can do that too!! My husband and daughter and I are going on a 10 day Mediterranean cruise in late June and I can still enjoy the wonderful meals without "pigging out." And hopefully by then I will look so gorgeous!! I am also looking forward to enjoying walking and sightseeing without all the huffing and puffing I used to do and being so exhausted as well. It should be fabulous

I agree that skinny people dont eat much and leave most of it on their plates. Also that those who are eating it all are so absorbed in their own pig out that they are not going to notice how little you eat. The one who may notice is the server and you just have to reassure them it was yummy! I am so glad you had a great meal, Valerie, and left feelling highly satisfied and feeling great!!! Yay!!!

Valerie, I agree. I been out to breakfast, lunch, and dinner since surgery and I didn't feel deprived at all. I munched off of other's plates and bit off of mine, and had leftovers! Not only that, I do realize that in the future, I will be able to eat like a "normal" person...not pigging out and wiping my plate clean! April

Gosh April, you hit the nail right on the head!!! We are so quick to say that we miss eating like a "normal" person when in reality we never ate that way. We ate like gluttons that were on a binge. It is NOW that we are eating like "normal" people. Thanks for that revelation! Love, Dawn
