stalling-STILL

Kim, Question for ya, the 2 miles you walk a day, are these brisk walks or casual leisure walks? My doc said that when we exercise we ought to look for 3 things: increased heart rate, heavy breathing, and sweating. If those 3 things aren't happening your not getting a sufficient exercise to increase weight loss. I got my first post op period a week late and lost 3 pounds the day it started. Maybe that's it? I would say my walks are fairly brisk. I cant walk any faster or I would get shin splints. I will start using my total gym after my appointment tomorrow when I get the go ahead. Hey since I totally missed one period and the second is late maybe I can lose 6#? A girl can only hope. I tried drinking more fluids today and feel like I could gag! heck the day is only partially over too! kim

Kim, I stalled for an entire month. I took in my food logs to my surgeon and he said I was eating ok, so just to keep it up and wait. I also upped my exercise and that helped too. Stalls are just part of the process, unfortunately. I know how frustrating it is, but keep on going! Keep the end goal in sight!

Kim, I too hit a plateau and was really frustrated because I was eating properly and exercising regularly. I broke the plateau and lbs melted off...then I hit another plateau. I've just accepted the fact that I loose differently. I won't lose anything for a couple of weeks then in 1 week I will lose a lot. Hang in there and keep on doing what you are doing, it will work eventually, be patient with yourself. Tina
