Hi all - I have been noticing some changes for the better even though my energy level is extremely low. 1. I can walk up the stairs much quicker now without much knee pain at all; 2. Today I actually carried stuff up with me. I couldn't do that for quite a while before surgery - it took everything just to get me up the stairs! 3. I actually carried the vacuum cleaner back down with me! 4. I've been cleaning my house today for a couple of hours AFTER a trip to the store to get cleaning supplies. Normally just the trip to the store would have put me down for hours. AND I'm not even too tired to quit yet! (which is really good because my house is a pig sty and we are listing it Thursday). Anybody else noticing these kind of wonderful improvements? Let's talk about it!! Happy happy joy joy everyone! Sylvia

Hi Syliva Yes! We live on a 2nd floor apartment. I used to have to go up 1 step at a time, using the rail to haul myself up. Now I can go up without using the handrail at all! I have also given up afternoon naps and I'm waking up earlier every day. Oh! I wear my seat belt in my van again! I haven't in several years because it would cut into my neck and I couldn't lean forward with it on to check my mirrors. How cool is that? Not to mention a good example for my kids... Bridget

Isn't it wonderful?!? This is just what I was hoping for with this surgery. As I lose weight I get more energy and can do more which will make me lose more weight, on so on!! I LOVE it when a plan come together! Sylvia

I just learned last evening that when I applaud a performance I can actually clap both hands together...the entire hand. Previously my boobs and the bulk in my shoulders would be in the way and I always did the fingers from one hand to the palm of the other hand. Has anyone else experienced that? And.....I fit in the seat without a problem. I didn't even need both armrests. That was the absolute best eye opener for me. Amazing how little things can mean so much to us. Kathy
