Amusing little story.. My hubby and I took our four year old to the GA Aquarium today. Of course 30 minutes in I heard, "Mommy I can't see, pick me up!" So of course I did -the kid is only a foot shorter then me - like *I* could see anything! But as I am holding her I realized that my daughter weighs the exact same amount as the weight I've lost, 45 pounds. How in the h$ll did I go through life carrying a four year old permantly on my body??

Beth, That is so freakin funny! ME TOOO! I also realized this weekend that I have lost more than my four year old! (49 lbs). We also have the same surgery day! We have a lot in common

I haven't lost my 4 year old yet (he's 44 lbs & I've lost 33 as of last week), but I know what you mean. When you start lifting things of certain weights and thinking "I've lost this much", it's amazing to think you were carrying that on our bodies. Hopefully I'll lose my 4 year old soon. Can't wait! Congrats!! Lisa S.

Last year when I lost 55 lbs, I took a picture of me and my 9 year old wearing the same pair of shorts together!!! It's funny, but isn't it sad that we don't realize what that weight means until something like that happens. Congrats on losing the kid!!! Hope you lose a 3 year old next ::hugs:: Cyndi

Sorry about that Kristie! I honestly thought about that which is why I put the smilie in the topic. Didn't want to scare anyone! The kid perspective works better for me then holding bags of potatos, and keeps me laughing. Can't wait until I lose a Backstreet Boy!

That's the big question, isn't it? It's hard to imagine... Good going! Chele
