I posted last Thursday or Friday wanting to see if anyone had tried any yet. Well *I* tried it Friday night. I always loved a Cosmo before surgery, so I made a modified Cosmo this weekend. One shot of Grey Goose Citron, two shots of diet cranberry juice and a dash of lime juice. (skipped the Grand Marnier I used to add) It was very good though! Didn't make me sick either. I sipped on it slowly, and could tell if I had drank it faster it might have hit me harder. I stopped at the one, not willing to pu**** but one was all I wanted just for the taste of it, and to feel a little like 'normal.' I am not sugesting everyone here run out and have one by any means, but a couple of people asked me to let them know how I tolerated it if I had one... so here it is! Sandy L

Thanks for letting us know. I soooo wanted to try something over the weekend but didn't. I am a couple of weeks behind you so I may wait a little longer, but it's good to know how you handled it. Leeanne

Leeanne, Friday was my two month anniversary. I used to say I would wait 6 months, and I probably would wait until then to drink any more than I did. I don't drink frequently, but after a really bad week at work, it was a nice treat. Sandy L

I too tried alcohol this weekend for the first time since surgery. I ordered taquila and water on the rocks, then I stirred in my Zilch margarita mix (s/f). It tasted great. I sipped it and at about 1/2 way through it I felt buzzed. I slowed down and by the time I finished the drink my buzz was gone too.

I had a few glasses of wine over last weekend. I was falling out of my seat drunk after 3 glasses. It was funny because it hit me all of a sudden. And I used to drink wine alot before surgery. But I wont do it too often, that was too much for me. But nice to know I can if I want to. Michelle
