Debra, Is this your first stall? I went through a stall after my second week and it lasted 18 days. Your right. 5 miles does take a long time. I am so fortunate that I have a fitness center here in my community where I can go workout. I don't have little ones to look out for so my time isn't that pressing. At the same time, my excess weight really weighs on my endurance. I hope that the more weight that I lose, the longer I can work out. Good luck! Beth M

Is this your first stall? If so, you are lucky. If not, it's bound to happen and we don't know when, how long or how many times. With this said, doesn't it just **** you off? If your clothes are fitting better and you are down sizes you are doing just great. Keep up the good work! 5 Miles a day huh? I know I couldn't do it!! He should be happy you are exercising. Maybe 5 miles a day could be your long term goal? Keep up what you are doing cause you are doin great!!! Leeanne

I think most of us have stalled so far...I could be wrong though. I know I have (2 weeks ago), and you and I had surgery on the same day. It's frustrating, but once the scale starts moving again, it's easier emotionally, I think! I think our bodies have to "catch up", in a way. The great news is you are in smaller sizes and can really tell a difference. 40lbs is great for being 8 weeks out! 5 miles a day does seem a little excessive, but that's JMO! Keep up the great work! Congratulations on your progress so far!! It sounds fantastic!! You and I have had similar weight loss and size loss too. Stalls suck, but it will start coming off again, you just have to be patient. I know that's the pot calling the kettle black and all (I am sooooo impatient) but it will start dropping again.... try to stay off the scale and just keep doing your routine. It has worked so far and your body is just adjusting. Keep your head up! Best wishes for a bright day -- ~amber~

Exercise is a way to break stalls. If you can't walk each day, get an exercise tape that is kid friendly. Do the workout with your kids. It will help you and them at the same time. Walking is fine, but it is a very minimum. Full exerecise is the answer. You could break the stall pretty quick that way. Just some thoughts.
