Do you go through days like this?

I'm sure that you do! I was wondering if anyone else goes through days where you just cannot eat anything... it either gets stuck or makes you or you just do not want to eat. And then on the opposite end... do you have days when you are just hungry all day? And you feel real hunger and need to eat more often? This has been the case for me for the past 2 days, but I have blamed it on starting my period. (Sorry to our fellows out there!) Have you gone through this as well? How does it make you feel emotionally? It kinda scares me and I do not want to eat... but then I get weak and know that I need to. Please tell me I am not alone......

After surgery i felt hungry all the time, my doctor told me that it cames from the brain, but i did feel real hunger. Now it is better, i can control the cravings, just eat something healthy . As a nurse i can tell you, that you have to eat to prevent problems, even if it is a very small portion. Good luck, and write back with any questions.

Hey girl, I am sorry that you are having the experiences you are. It will change. Most days I have to force myself to eat anything. I have been blessed in the fact that I have not dumped once, everything I eat has agreed with me. But I have absolutley no appetite. I have to drink the shakes to get my protien. On the other side of that coin, I have days where I am starving (not often but it happens) and I want to eat everything in site. I don't do it, but I have snacked. :o( In the first month I was weak if I did not eat every few hours, like you. But now I have to think about it. That sucks. I can go hours and hours without eating and it's hard to get on a schedule when you have no desire to eat. I know it will pass so I do not stress out about it. I am enjoying the honeymoon for now. ~Kristie

YES YES YES!!!!! That is me!!!! Same thing - I go for days and have to force myself to eat, nothing goes down easy so give up before I eat even what I have put on my plate. Other days I feel ravenous, and have no problem getting in 800 calories a day! And I am post menopausal so it has nothing to do with your cycle I don't think. I have also noticed that the days I go thru without eating much I pretty much stop losing weight (although my body is still shrinking), once I have a couple of days of good eating I start losing again! Isn't is weird? My surgery was 1/23, and this has been going on for 3 weeks now. I do always get my protein in with shakes even when I'm not eating though. You described EXACTLY what I have been experiencing! And yes, when I'm not hungry/having trouble getting things down I get nervous, and when I'm hungry and eating as much as I should I'm paranoid. Just goes along with the territory I've decided. Unitl I reach goal I have just accepted that this is probably how it will be. Sylvia
