It has been one of those weeks, you know the kind....where everything goes wrong! My husband has been having stomache problems for a year. He finally couldnt take it any longer and ended up at the doctors office Tuesday morning (thank goodness he was home this week). They said it was his gallbladder and set him up for surgery the next day. Well, his gallbladder was really bad and a 45 min surgery took 2 hours. They even kept him in the hospotal over night and have him on antibotics. He's home today and doing well, just tired. But as a result of all this my eatting habits were not great. I didnt eat junk food, but I didnt get in my protein and all my fluids. Thus not loosing any weight in the past few days.......bummer. Now I only have till the 20th, 3 days, to loose 4 pounds. (I had set up a b-day goal of 250) Any suggestions? I have really missed you guys and visiting the board this week. I hope each of you are doing great and having a good St. Patricks Day! Kristi

I am sorry to hear about your husband's surgery, but at least it was something fixable. That's a painful surgery to recover from. I felt it was worse than my RNY. Just push the water and make sure you get your protien in for the next 3 days and make good food choices. And a little for good luck! Leeanne

Kristi, I wondered where you have been! Good to hear from you...I hope your hubby is up and about feeling well in no time. You said the scale hasn't moved in a few days, that means it is due to move soon! Maybe you'll be pleasantly surprised! Just keep doing what you're doing, would be my advice....maybe add extra protein? I wish you lots of luck! Any plans on your upcoming birthday? Chele

Kristi, I'm glad your husband is home and doing well. When you're taking care of him, remember to take care of yourself, too. As for losing those 4 pounds, try upping the water & protein and sticking just to protein these next couple of days, no carbs (basically go back to your first week or so after surgery plan). Good luck! Lisa S
