Hi everyone! I believe Renee or April posted a while back about attention from peers and the opposite sex. Many of you have had such great experiences and I posted I had had nothing of the sort at that time. Well, tonight changed everything!!!! We went out to the Branding Iron to celebrate my mom's birthday and while we were in the restraunt, a local radio station set up their booth outside. After dinner (it was amazing) we walked outside and signed up to try and win a free t-shirt! The shirts were adorable and I'm all for free stuff Well as the family is saying good bye in front of the booth one of the booth guys pulls me aside as asks if I wanna go out sometime and if I have a boyfriend. Drum roll please........... I froze!!!! He caught me completely off guard and all I could stammer was I'm sorry- I am such a dork, and he was a cutie too! Weird hat, but cute! I need advice on what to do if/when this kind of thing happens again! I have never been in a relationship/dated/kissed, etc and kinda freaked out lol. I guess all it took for guys to notice was to drop 82 pounds, eh? lol Please give all the advice, info you can! *~*Boy Crazy Jaci*~*

82lbs!! Whew!! Amazing! I'd say get used to it, and play it cool. Give them your number if you feel so inclined, if not, you can always "accidentally" write down your number in the wrong order....not that I have ever done that or anything...uh uh, not I! Or...you can always tell them you have a boyfriend. A very large, tall, muscular, boyfriend....who is a cop. Chele

LOL Renee! Tuesday is my birthday and thanks to that guy I want to experience the night scene! I already called a buddy and asked her if she'd go with me somewhere lol... haven't heard back yet! I think he's the promo guy, you know those low men on the totem poles who go with the DJs to promote the station?? So I'll have to stay in town more often! lol Thanks for the advice!

This is awesome! I agree with Renee, the shy, eye battering and sweet smile works wonders. Practice saying YES. Seriously! You can do the round about thing of pretending but really, step up and if he seems nice, go with the instincts and say YES. At worst its just coffee and an hour of your life which will lead to better dating experiences along the way. Do you think you can run into this guy again? That wierd hat may be a sign of a fun and unique personality. Most excellent!!!

I will definately need to practice my eye batting lol! He had one of the hats that has ear flaps! They were tied up on top of the hat by a string lol. I hope to run into him again, hopefully I'lll remember what he looked like, it was dark!

Jaci, I am so happy for you. The hat sounds cute. I think that these kind of things are going to start happening to you all the time, so start enjoying it. As far as the relationship thing goes---dating, kissing--that will all come to you naturally. You can't plan those things--your natural instincts will just take over. Have fun fixing your hair, wearing cute clothes, smiling and just being happy. Your NEW and WONDERFUL life is just beginning. The most rewarding thing will be positive feedback from feeling good about yourself--this is all about you right now. Sieze the moment..........

Hi Celeste. Thank you very much for your kind words or encouragement. The hat was cute, I AM having fun doing my hair, make up and wearing all the clothes I had to give up... isn't it great!?
