How are you taking your pills? I have a few things I would like to add to my regimne and wonder about swallowing a pill.

My surgeon let me begin swallowing pills after my first month. They seem to do fine. Leeanne

I have been swallowing mine since 3 weeks out. Well, one is tiny... but then about a month out I began to add atigal (for the gallbladder). I would say it is a average-large size pill. At first it was a struggle to swallow it, but now I am used to it.

I tried to take the actigall, it got stuck and what a fiasco that was! I want to take some vits that are smaller than the actigall. I currently chew the other pills I take (they do not taste bad) But want to add some that will not taste great! I guess I will just try it ans see what happens! jen

My surgeon told me that I could swallow my pills, I wasn't really sure about it, because of the horror stories about them getting stuck. I was mostly worried about my calcium. I bought the citracal ones that are labeled "Petite" They are not petite! I trade them off with the new "Citracal Creamy Bites"... so I only have to take one horse pill per day. Anyway, I haven't had too much trouble with them. They seem to go down fine. Hurt a little once in a while. I thought about trying to split them... but so far, they are working out okay.

I have been swallowing pills since the first night after surgery, absolutely no problems at all. Good luck

I always swallow my uppers and downers! JUST KIDDING I do swallow my pills, usually only tylenol for aches and pains. I forgot to take my actigall and protonix, I know I'm a bad girl. Dana

I hate the pills. The anigall is huge and often gets stuck for me. I am also trying to take biotin to prevent losing hair. I really dread the ordeal. I think sometimes I try to swallow to much water in the attempt and that is bad also. I am looking for a better way also.

I had a very bad experience with the actigall, I did not take it again after that. Hopefully my gallbladder will be ok. Biotin is one of the pills I want to add, what brand are you taking? I bought some from WalMart, they are in a brown bottle w/ a white & red label.

My surgeon won't let me swallow pills until 3 months out. THAT said, I'll admit that some of those things are just nasty crushed up and make me gag (Claritin D -- nastiest stuff in the world in powder form -- and those Wellbutrin aren't a picnic either). So with those two, I split them either in half or in fours and they go down fine.
